HYPERDRIVE

Hyperdrive was born as a concept during the pandemic, with the intention of celebrating ‘hyperactivity’ as a superpower and encouraging a creative act of transmuting anxiety, or “unusual energy” into a force to be driven. The project is explored but texturally in “Studio Wear” & sonically as a 3 track EP released by Talulah Ruby

Talulah Ruby has landed on a modular room – and so brings to it a complete performance of compositions that bridge the gap between the listener and the musicians by diving into her debut EP and concept Hyperdrive, then further exploring the capacities within the room, the hard drive worth of unreleased material, the tender nods to influences and musicians who’ve shaped the approach she has to her vocal serenades and musicianship as a whole. 

Strikingly soulful, the poignant edge is brought out by that stellar production, and the finely honed lyric.
