Hot Water explores the relationship we have with Mother Nature. It’s a call-to-action and aims to instigate thought and conversation about how we move into a less consumerist world.
I Don’t Feel Like Me
I Don’t Feel Like Me was written and recorded in a small studio flat on Kingsland Road and in the midst of a anxiety episode that Talulah had been sat on for a couple of months. The soundscape was based on sound of Nature and textures that felt familiar. It starts to look at the internal effects of what global capitalisation can look like.
The Deep
The Deep; The end of the Volcano series. This song is resolved and embodies the spirit of someone who has hit rock bottom and given in to the depths of it all. It follows a person who packs up their stuff and drives into the ocean to find their new home at the bottom. The space it holds aims to provoke re-adjustment and ultimately, acceptance.
All For You
“Inspired by our mutual love of Jazz and live instruments, we wrote and recorded everything in Gabriel’s front room in Bristol having just met.
The lyrics embedded in All For You were written as a second person narrative speaking from Artist to Ego about how invalid Imposter Syndrome is. It’s an exploration of internal expectation and pressure.
But it serves as a reminder that you have to accept yourself before recognising acceptance or praise from others.”
