Lavaland Studios is a Female run studio and collective accesible to independent artists around the globe. We operated in Netil House between 2020 & 2021 - although the space is now temporarily closed while a new home is being created.
A void for vibe
The studio was built by Talulah over the first lockdown in 2020 as a space to create and write in after years of working in clinical spaces and never feeling truly connected to the room. Talulah believes that environment and colours really affect work flow and in today’s fast paced industry, Lavaland serves as musical void/cave to retreat into and create music that’s unique and collaborative.
What is Lavaland?
Lavaland Studio is a contemporary art space focusing on music creation. It’s a multi use space designed for inspiring and creative writing sessions.
The concept behind it stems from a want for a personal connection to a space to encourage a more natural writing flow.
The studio is 24/7 access and available to book per hour, with discounted rates at block bookings.
A space for everyone and anyone.
Events
Lavaland is a space designed to bring a community together. Within the first few months of aperture it’s already seen a creative collective form.
As well as being a space to write and create music, it was designed to be used in a multi-dimensional way.
The space has been a home to launch parties, private listening sessions, film screenings, poetry evenings, meditation & sound baths, etc…
Due to Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, the Winter 2020 events have had to be postponed. We will upload and update our 2021 calendar once restrictions are lifted in London.
